The village of Verin-Dvin came alive with joy on Sunday, May 19th, as the ACERO Ninweh Assyrian Community Centre officially opened its doors!

The inauguration was led by His Grace Mar Narsai Benjamin, the Bishop responsible for Armenia, joined by ACERO Trustees Mr. Andy Darmoo (ACERO UK) and Mr. Fredoun Benjamin (ACERO US). They were accompanied by Mrs. Maryam Parayou, Mikhail Davejan, and Rima Davejan from the Assyrian Christian Compassion Ministry (ACCM), key partners in sponsoring this project.

The new center is set to become a crucial hub for the Assyrian community in Dvin, providing a space for social gatherings, youth activities, feast days, and commemorations.

Despite challenges posed by the COVID pandemic and regional conflicts, we are thrilled to see the center finally open. The celebration featured special performances by Madlen Ishoeva and youth from Mar Toma Church, under the leadership of Mrs. Zhanna Abramova.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to ACCM for their support, to our donors, and to everyone who supports ACERO worldwide by liking, sharing, and reporting on our work. Our redevelopment efforts in Armenia have enabled us to build a school, renovate an ancient church, and now provide a dedicated community space for Assyrians.

In 2019 we launched our Armenia Appeal to build a kindergarten, renovate a church and build a community center – we have now completed that! Next on our agenda is the construction of a community hall in the village of Arzni, which we are fundraising for now!! DONATE HERE
